· Responsible for the development and implementation of manufacturing systems required to achieve world class levels of safety, productivity, quality, and cost.
· Responsible for achieving results in process design and methods analysis, operations analysis and improvement, and performance measurement and audit.
· Participate in cross-functional groups including Quality, Safety, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance and Materials. Implement cost effective, safe, and capable processes.
· Analyze production operations to determine opportunities for improvements in cost, quality, and delivery. Recommend alternatives and implement.
· Participate in the development of key industrial engineering systems such as: routing or workflow definitions, cost analysis, standard work definition, performance tracking, line balancing, and process documentation.
· Direct or perform work measurement and production capacity studies. Provide data, alternative proposals, and analysis to annual and long range planning.
· Lead or participate in workgroup problem solving and continuous improvement activities, including definition of the problem, identification of improvement opportunities, selection of alternatives, implementation, and measurement of results.
· Participate in cross-functional teams to define future process new product strategies, capacity requirements, and the given new product strategies, capacity requirements, and the application of new technology.
· Develop and evaluate plant layout, workflow proposals, and alternatives.
· Evaluate and submit recommendations on plant and equipment acquisition proposals, Identify, specify, and assist installation of equipment.
· Provide technical leadership for Manufacturing Engineering activities.
· Capital budget planning and project implementation.
· Train others in the analytical tool and techniques of Industrial Engineering. Provide technical leadership for Industrial Engineering activities
· Provide on-floor support for operators.
